See the Fireworks

Chicago puts on fireworks displays every Wednesday and Saturday from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Chicago hosts music festivals celebrating all genres of music from jazz to electronic, house, rock, and country.

Farmers Markets

During the summer there are outdoor farmers markets that take place all over the city. The Green City Market is the largest.

Street Festivals

Most Chicago neighborhoods host a music, art, or food festival during the summer. The Old Town Art Fair is a popular art fest.

Cheer for the Cubs

Going to a Cubs home game at Chicago landmark Wrigley Field is a perfect way to spend a summer day.

Go to the Parks

Chicago has dozens of beautiful parks to explore, including Humboldt Park with its large lagoons with swan boats.

Visit Riverwalk

This 1.25 mile long pathway beside the river has stunning views and several bars and restaurants ideal for happy hour.

Parson's Chicken and Fish has four locations with plenty of patio space for sipping their famous Negroni slushy.

Boating on the Lake

Going boating on Lake Michigan is a Chicago summertime must! Rent a motorboat, sailboat, kayak, or jet ski.
