Argyle Lunar New Year Celebration

The Chicago Auto Show

When: February 10-20, 2023

Address: McCormick Place

The nation’s largest auto show takes place in February and spans over a million square feet of exhibit space in McCormick Place. Over 20 manufacturers from all over the world participate and show every type of car you can imagine from concept cars to sports cars and family-friendly vehicles. The auto show kicks off with the First Look for Charity, a black tie fundraiser benefiting 17 local non-profits.

Chillfest

This pop up music festival involves bands performing in storefronts in Wicker Park and Bucktown. It takes place in February and the goal is to bring music and shopping together while celebrating the neighborhood’s creative roots.

Winter Brew

A festival that celebrates craft beer. Attendees can taste over two dozen local craft beers and try food from neighborhood restaurants.

Garfield Park Conservatory Spring Flower Show

When: end of February through the first week of May
Neighborhood: Garfield Park
Address: 300 North Central Park Ave

This flower show runs for about six weeks, from the end of February through the start of May. Each year a different theme is presented; the 2022 theme was “Knock Knock” and the floral displays incorporated doors from the Rebuilding Exchange and knock-knock jokes.

Lincoln Park Conservatory Spring Flower Show

When: end of February through the first week of May
Neighborhood: Lincoln Park
Address: 2391 North Stockton Drive

Like the Garfield Park Conservatory Flower Show, this flower show has a new theme each year. The 2022 theme was “Pillars of Spring” and focused on vertical planting.

Lakeview Roscoe Village Restaurant Week

Neighborhood: Lakeview and Roscoe Village

During this restaurant week, area restaurants serve special prix fixe menus to raise money for the Lakeview Pantry and Common Pantry.

Lincoln Square Restaurant Week

Neighborhood: Lincoln Square and Ravenswood

Both Lincoln Square and Ravenswood restaurants participate in this weeklong February/March event by offering special prix fixe menus.

Andersonville Restaurant Week

Andersonville’s Restaurant Week is a weeklong event during February when area restaurants offer special prix fixe menus.

Black History Month Celebration

A one-day event at the Loyola Park Fieldhouse that celebrates the achievements of Black Americans. The event highlights local entrepreneurs, artists, and makers.

Cupid’s Undie Run

A pantless road race that raises money for NF, a genetic disorder that cuses tumor growth. The event involves drinking and dancing, a mile run, and then a dance party.
