The easiest way to get to Lincoln Park is to take the brown line train to the Armitage stop. This will put you within walking distance to all of the restaurants on Armitage Street and Halsted Streets.

Armitage Ale House

A neighborhood pub by Hogsalt Hospitality which also owns Bavette’s, Ciccio Mio, and Gilt Bar in River North. This beautifully decorated restaurant gets its inspiration from a London pub in the 1920s. The menu includes a mix of British classics and Indian food.

The Kalamata Chicken at this casual family-owned Greek restaurant is Tina Fey’s favorite meal in Chicago. Somehow, the chicken is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. It comes on top of thick crunchy fries that are drowned in a vinegary sauce. It’s magic on a plate. Spanakopita, salads, and gyros help to round out the menu.

Galit serves a four-course tasting menu highlighting seasonal cuisine. The menu has familiar Middle Eastern dishes like hummus, falafel, tabouli, and shawarma plus unexpected items like foie gras blintzes and pastrami.

Esme serves a seasonal tasting menu inspired by art. The March 2022 menu is in collaboration with photographer Paul Octavious and is $250 a person.

RJ Grunts

This is the restaurant that started the Lettuce Entertain You empire, which now includes over 100 restaurants across multiple states and a music festival. It’s also where the salad bar was invented. RJ Grunts does casual bar food wonderfully.
