Lula Cafe

A favorite restaurant in Logan Square among locals and the chef community, Lula Cafe has been serving farm to table cuisine for over twenty years. The restaurant takes pride in serving adventurous food for vegetarians plus meat and fish from sustainable sources. In addition to dinner, Lula Cafe serves breakfast and lunch. The menu has plates like braised lamb with turnip, rosemary, green strawberry, and first spring watercress. A current vegetarian offering is winter squash agnolotti with three sisters pecans, parmesan, and tomato butter. In 2022, Lula Cafe received a James Beard Award nomination.
Andros Taverna
Greek
Andros Taverna serves traditional and contemporary Greek cuisine in a rustic casual setting. Start your meal by dipping fresh warm pita in traditional spreads like taramasalata, spicy whipped feta, and tzatziki. The crispy kataifi cheese pie can’t be missed. Then move on to wood fired meats and seafood, gyros, or entrees like eggplant moussaka. Pair it with sides like lemon potatoes or Greek fries topped with feta.
Longman & Eagle

A restaurant and inn with six guest rooms on the second floor, Longman & Eagle pays homage to the time when bars, inns, and pubs were community centers. The cuisine is modern and inventive. The menu has items such as foie gras stuffed falafel, mushroom and raclette dumplings, a classic fried chicken, and a wild boar sloppy Joe.

Inspired by old-world butcher shops, Lardon serves charcuterie, salami, and artisanal cheeses. At lunchtime, sandwiches are also available.
Osteria Langhe

A casual yet romantic restaurant serving cuisine from the North Italian region of Piedmont, and one of the best restaurants in Logan Square. The menu is small, containing just five antipasti, four primi, and four secondi options. The plin, pasta filled with la tur cheese and topped with thyme and butter is especially delightful. A four-course $55 Taste of Piemonte menu is available on Wednesdays.
Daisies

A restaurant inspired by the Midwest and specializing in fresh pasta, Daisies serves dishes like beet agnolotti with dill, smoked trout, and roe. The pierogi is made with mussels and beer. The menu is playful and manages to truly balance Italian technique with Midwest ingredients.
Gretel

A chic gastropub serving top-notch globally inspired bar food, one of Chicago’s best burgers, and an indulgent macaroni and cheese. Other menu items include French onion soup, pork gyoza, pork belly nachos, ramen, and a prime rib French dip sandwich. It’s a fun mix with something for everyone. Gretel does not accept reservations.

An Italian restaurant that focuses specifically on Roman cuisine. The pastas are freshly made in-house while other dishes are cooked in a wood-oven. Menu highlights include veal meatballs, pappardelle with boar ragu and ricotta, and whole branzino.
The Whale

A glamorous restaurant from the same owners as The Vig in Old Town that periodically hosts live music. The cuisine is casual American with burgers, fried chicken, and a fried fish sandwich included on the menu.
Mini Mott

A sister restaurant to Mott Street in Wicker Park that is devoted to their acclaimed burger. The “Original Mott Burger” is available as a single or double patty. The menu also has a few more burger options, including a jackfruit burger, some sandwiches, sides, and a few types of fries.

Giant serves creative seasonal American fare like saffron tagliatelle with king crab and chili butter, foie gras and manchego mighty o’s with almond, pancetta, and tarragon, and crispy skate with butter sauce and maitake mushrooms.

A gastropub serving locally sourced British pub food. You can find classics like a scotch egg, Cornish pasty, bubble and squeak, bangers and mash, and fish and chips on the menu. Their burger is a standout.
Parson’s Chicken & Fish

The first of Parson’s four locations in Chicago, the Logan Square restaurant is known for it’s huge outdoor seating area with picnic tables and a game area. Parson’s serves negroni slushies, fried chicken sandwiches, and fried fish. It’s the type of place where you can grab a quick meal, or hang out and sip drinks with friends.
Furious Spoon

Furious Spoon specializes in ramen and also serves dumplings and cocktails. The restaurant is a casual spot known for playing hip-hop.
The Boiler Room

A thin-crust pizza joint serving both pizza by the slice and full pies. The menu includes classic and creative pizzas, the option to build your own, and a vegan pizza. Gluten-free pizza is available too. The Boiler Room is known by locals for its PB&J special which includes a slice of pizza, a PBR, and a shot to Jameson Whiskey for $12.50.

This neighborhood brewpub serves sharable snacks like wings and nachos, sandwiches and burgers, sides, and salads. On weekends they also serve brunch. Plus, you can try 30 different Revolution beers.
Park & Field

Park & Field is known for their 6,000 square foot patio which has fire pits and bocce courts. The indoor space has a vintage sports club theme. On weekends, the restaurant hosts a bottomless boozy brunch for $45 a person. The menu is casual American bar food like chili, pretzels with cheese, buffalo chicken nuggets, burgers, and sandwiches.
The Spice Room

The Spice Room serves traditional Indian food made with passion and fresh ingredients. The menu has sections featuring vegetarian dishes such as paneer butter masala, channa masala, and vegetable korma. Beyond the vegetarian fare, the large menu covers all the classics: chicken curry, chicken tikka masala, lamb vindaloo, and lamb madras.
Mi Tocaya Antojeria

A James Beard nominated restaurant serving small plate regional Mexican dishes like fried oyster tacos, steak burritos, a DIY quesabirria, and morita glazed skate wing “ribs”. The food is beautifully composed, the flavors are bold, and the space is colorful and unpretentious.
Paulie Gee’s

Paul Gee’s serves pizza, beer, and cocktails. This pizzeria serves two styles of pizza: New York Style thin-crust and a Detroit inspired style that they call Logan Squares. The menu has half a dozen vegan pies plus pizzas with gourmet ingredients like Berkshire soppressata, housemade bacon jam, dried bing cherries, and prosciutto di Parma.

An outstanding bakery that sells slices of pie, half pies, and whole pies with flavors like grapefruit peach, blackberry buttermilk, and chocolate cheese. They also serve savory pot pies. If you can’t make it to Logan Square, Foxtrot sells Bang Bang’s frozen chicken pot pie and buffalo chicken pot pie. In addition to the pies, house made scratch biscuits come with a variety of toppings.
